An entertaining war story featuring Winston Churchill. Decent sound and nostalgic Christmas commercials.

Phillip M.

A toast to Norman Rose for playing Forest Thomas and bottoms up to Earl Hammond for playing Winston Churchill. These were the roles that they were destined to play. Cheers to E.G. Marshall for his fine work on narrating this CBSRMT episode; especially at the 15-minute 33-second mark where he quotes Benjamin Franklin, “A little neglect may breed mischief. For want of a nail, the shoe was lost. For want of a shoe, the horse was lost. For want of a horse, the rider was lost. And for want of a warning, the battle was lost.” Not only that this quote fit perfectly in this WWII story, the music & sound effects as well; felt like you were actually there in the 1940's. I rate this 4 out of 5 stars because even though James Agate Jr. wrote something that's based on a true story, it would've been better if it was told by Forest Thomas; get his side of the story and see how it felt to be known as "The White Rabbit". But still, it's worth listening to.

I am going to listen to this just for the commercials and Xmas sounds.
