"I don't believe in skeletons driving cars!" Great episode with a twist at the end.

George Lowthar's episodes are usually fantastic, and this was no exception. Kind of a "Scooby-Doo" story: did a ghost do it, and, if not, who did? All the clues are there for the listener to follow. Whodunit, questioned supernatural elements.

This is the first episode of RMT I ever heard, and the one that got me very interested in (and hooked on) the series. Classic story, with good surprises and very well acted out. This has to be one of the best episodes.

What’s behind the wheel is every bit as mysterious and suspect as some of the characters. Clever and interesting.

Brooks from Toronto

A ghost driver terrorizes the owners and visitors of an old New England lodge.

Johnny B.

They ain't in any Northern State. They're out West somewhere, perhaps Colorado. Besides, there's no Manitou Mountain in the North.

A cople purchase a ski lodge and meet the woman that was living there who tells them that her dead husband told her she would live there again. He died leaving her in dire straits, but she holds on to the hope that she will live there againa dn is quite aggressive about it too! Guests travelling up and down the mountain road are occasionally run off the road by a ghost car driven by a skeleton.

Nathan Morano

Very Scooby-doo - but still enjoyable.

"Russian Roulette and driving head on into an oncoming car offer the same risks." This episode was a little bit Scooby Doo meets the Mentalist. Great episode with great acting. The ending was just a shade on the weak side. 4 stars.

One of my many favorites, I dont know all I see is the list of actors. I thought the husband was Tom Bosley for the longest time. Mary Jane Higby as Mrs. Jessica Gormely Augusta Dabney as Liz Stout Nick Pryor as Jason Gormely Mason Adams as Mel Stout Norman Rose as Mike Duncan Leon Janney as Rory

Russ

Good episode that seems supernatural, is explained not to be supernatural, then adds a question of the supernatural. Interesting dynamic between the mother and her son who likes playing Russian Roulette (perhaps it's good that he never bought a lottery ticket?). I found it strange that the son would try to drive people away when they could not afford to live there anymore anyway.

Alec

Good episode, but a plot hole: it's impossible to see who's driving a car with its headlights on coming toward you at night.

The one with Gormley Gorge is "The Ghost Driver" Fantastic radio drama!

Well done! ... if somewhat predictable.

John

Enjoyed the commercials, news and E.G. Marshall as always. The story was a good one and entertaining. This is one that makes listening to RMT worthwhile.

Nancy

The Ghost Driver is a great story.

Daryl

This one seemed tiresome to me. I guess the script ran short so they threw in the Mike Duncan storyline. Overall, it would have been better in half the time.

Christine

Ghost, my foot! This episode is laugh out loud funny.totally makes up for the ending being a dead giveaway from the beginning.

This wasn't one of my favorites though it wasn't bad. The mystery was: Is this a ghost or is there an explanation? Could have gone both ways but felt likely it would fall the way it did. I understand from that time period that when people got killed, these shows weren't going for emotional realism (Think Colombo, Murder She Wrote, and pretty much any detective show) . However, the "Sorry your wife died last night. Say, want a beer?" casualness was a little much for me even considering where the genre was in the 1970's. The explanation of "He likes to play Russian roulette so now it makes sense he likes to drive his car at people." Again, mysteries of the time were like jigsaw puzzles where the satisfaction is in the completion, not creating a picture of how people respond in real life.

I love this episode. It's very mysterious and scary.
