Boy do I remember Mrs. Heckert. One winter I took my daughter and her 2 friends to Florida. They wanted to watch a couple of scary movies so they watched “Psycho” and this movie. I was worrying more about “Psycho’s” possible effects on the girls, and they found the latter movie, “The Bad Seed” more terrifying.
Anyway, Eileen Heckert played an inebriated grief stricken mother to perfection in her role in “The Bad Seed”; a movie made in the 1950’s, I believe.
