14 Responses to Raeburn Bryna

why did she die so young? (age 39) Did she commit suicide? also; why is there no picture or biographical information on Sam Dann, who wrote several episodes of CBSRMT that she appeared in?

Larry Zimmerman

It's often difficult to find information (and photos)of radio actors. I can find no dates for Bryna Raeburn. her radio career goes back to the forties but I can't say how young she started. I would have thought she lived longer than 39 years.

Dale Haskell

Bryna Raeburn was on "The Cisco Kid" in the early 1940s, and I believe she died in 1986. The lack of information suggests she used a stage name. To see a headshot clipped from a magazine, Google her name + 1968.

Karen

I was surprised at how many episodes Bryna Rayburne was in in the 50's and then we found her in loads in the RMT's as well. Greg Bell said she was in other OTR revivals as well. And, of course, Larry Haynes not only was around in the 40's and 50's and in the RMT, but was a talking book reader way back when, along with Ralph Bell who I always love hearing in an OTR program from whenever he shows up. He just made the perfect bad guy.

Kitty

Yeah Bryna had the comforting voice of a grandmother.

Mike

My very favorite actress on CBSRMT! She was always so great! I can't think of any part she played where she wasn't a character you could empathize with, or at least find amusing or interesting.

Amy

I don't think she died at 39. When you go online there is nothing to substantiate that. A true vocal talent in every sense of the word, listening to her was always interesting. One of the best actors on RMT.

Greg

About her age, she looks about 40 in the picture above, and judging by the quality of the picture I would guess it dated from the late 40's to the mid 50's. Now if she was forty lets say in 1955 then she would be 65 in 1980, her last RMT. If the picture was 1950 say, she'd 70 in RMT, a natural granny.

D.C.

I've always found Bryna Raeburn to be exceptionally versatile as a voice actor.

Daniel

I love Bryna's New York accent. Her voice has always reminded me of SNL's Cheri Oteri (since the 90's, that is). She was in so many CBSRMT episodes! One of my faves.

MCLowe

The highly talented Bryna Raeburn is my favorite female voice actress on CBSRMT!!! It’s incredible how she can change her voice to suit so many different characters. I always enjoy hearing her playing two different female characters in the same episode. She was definitely born with a special gift and talent!

Eric Templeton

Bryna Raeburn 1915 - 1986 Died at age 71

Raheem D Braziel

She was born in 1915 and died at the age of 71 in 1986. 71 isn't that young!

Joe

LOVE her! One of my favorite episodes is The Stuff of Dreams #0236. Wonder what are other folks favorites with Bryna?

Paul
