This is such a great site! Thanks to all that have contributed to making this site available.

Nice presentation of Wuthering Heights as the story of a family. Cathy and Heathcliff's extraordinary love was woven in well in this episode without overpowering the rest of the episode. And the inclusion of the main events in the last chapters of Bronte's book [Cathy Jr.'s and Hareton's evolving relationship, Heathcliff's decline] were done fairly well considering the time constraints.

I love Bryna Raeburn! Every drama I hear her in is always a good one!

I must admit to having very little knowledge of the story before hearing this; all I had in my mind was the old image of Heathcliff and Catherine running towards each other across the moors and a song by Kate Bush. Having finally heard this dramatization, I was rather shocked to learn what a monster Heathcliffe really was! It makes one wonder what Cathy saw in him in the first place. And for me, it adds to his despicableness that when I first heard Paul Hecht on the radio, he was playing Emperor Palpatine in "The Empire Strikes Back!"

Great story, acting and sound quality. A real winner!

This is one of the best episodes. A definite must hear!

☆☆☆ "I cannot live without my life. I cannot live without my soul."--Heathcliff I've grown to like this adaptation but hate Catherine & Heathcliff; they are selfish & manipulative. But it's still the quintessential Gothic love story.
