Spoilers: I kept hoping for a twist ending because basically "The Power" as the antagonist won by forcing "Serenity" to forsake it's peaceful "programming" to kill the messenger. That's how I saw it anyway, evil won by forcing good to become evil.

So, the title is The Golden Girl played by Evie Juster but Marshall fails to credit her part in the story when introducing the story?
