He performed in 30 episodes. It's also the birthday of actress Anne Meara who acted in only one episode. Meara is well known for her comedic film/tv roles and as the mom of Ben Stiller.

Gordon Heath (September 20, 1918 – August 27, 1991) was an African-American actor and musician who narrated the animated feature film Animal Farm (1954) and appeared in the title role of The Emperor Jones (1953) and Othello (1955), both live BBC telecasts, respectively directed by Alvin Rakoff and Tony Richardson.

Gordon Heath was an international star of stage and screen, as well as an accomplished musician and recording artist. He performed in a number of stage productions on Broadway and in Great Britain and France. He appeared in film and television and was a voice actor and narrator in a number of animated features. On radio in the 1940s, he appeared on such programs as The Weird Circle and New World A'Coming. His film credits include Confidential Report, Heroes And Sinners, Lost Command, Staircase and Street Of No Return. His television credits include Captain Gallant Of The Foreign Legion, Emperor Jones, Othello, For The Defense and BBC Sunday-Night Theater. His voice acting credits include Man Of Africa, Animal Farm, Aladdin And The Magic Lamp and the Asterix franchise. He lived in Paris and he and his music and life partner Lee Payant operated a Left Bank café called L'Abbaye in which Heath and Payant were the exclusive entertainers. Many of the duo's folk albums were recorded there.
