Title

It's Hard to Be Rich

Plot

An affluent writer moves into an inexpensive apartment in order to write in peace. But his dreams are shattered by the blaring piano music from the nest door flat. But this isn't a story about a petty neighbourly quarrel - since the next door apartment is non-existent.

This episode was a little weird, but I loved Martha Greenhouse's horrible, grating voice. She was perfect, as usual.

She may be grating, but she's easier to listen to than Mercedes McCambridge, Tammy Grimes, or Marian Haley on their best days.

Beethoven's "Für Elise" started to drive me batty, too!

I thought the voices of the actors who played Hugo and Hilda were fantastic. They were real and easy to listen to as opposed to the usual actress who speaks with the high pitched little girl voice such as the operating nurse in the next episode. (would you undergo an operation when the nurse sounds like a 9 or 10 year old girl?) or the actress with the gravely voice like she is a chain smoker who destroyed her vocal chords such as the grandma witch doctor in the Philippine islands some dozen episodes ago. Well done RMT. Too bad the piano playing woman was bland and uninteresting.. What was the plot about anyway? The writer in 1978 was forced to kill the piano player over again who was actually killed 100 years earlier by the same guy who lived in the future??
