The mysterious mirror takes a whole new form of terror in this Gothic tale of guilt and madness told by a young girl who enters into the service of a lord who will not allow mirrors in his manor. They force him to look at the face he once murdered - that of his wife. |

Yes, I heard it too...I couldn't figure out if it was Jim Jones, JFK, an auctioneer, a baseball game, or pony racing. A boxing match sounds like the reasonable choice.
This suspenseful Gothic tale had promise but fell flat for me. The positives: the story & the acting, especially Bryna Raeburn in dual roles. The negatives: the aforementioned background noise, Bryna Raeburn's high-pitched elderly lady voice (though suitable for the character), similar plotline in another CBSRMT gothic story ("House Without Mirrors"?), dog sound effects sometimes interfered with dialog, the protagonist falls in love w/her employer's son rather quickly, and a convenient "savior" ending.
