Adaption of "Anthony and Cleopatra"

Kim Azana

Not a bad story by the Bard. I never read this original either but the story was good. Shakespeare definitely like writing the tragedies, especially with star crossed lovers.

Anyone else find Lois Nettleton's portrayal of Cleopatra very annoying, lol? She makes her sound like a hormone crazed teenager instead of a mature seductress. She sounds childish and whiny and her voice grates on my nerves. It makes her totally unbelievable as the legendary Cleopatra, who was supposed to have been able to charm rich and powerful men and leaders of the time. If Cleopatra had really sounded like Lois, the men would have run away from this whiny teenage sounding girl, lol!

Amy

I personally think that they should have switched the roles of Cleopatra and her maid. Carol Teitel's voice would have been much more suited for Cleopatra, imo.

Amy

Good adaptation.
