A professor of some esteem is extremely disappointed when he is passed over for a prestigious award. The award is the highest accolade a man in his position can receive and guarantees him a spot amongst the intellectual elite. When his student wins over him he tries to accept it, but when the opportunity arises for him to win the award through less noble means, he cannot pass up the chance. What is it with professors and awards.

Luther Kelley

A seemingly aloof (at first) professor and an award that seems due to him - that's the story and more. A fairly good one about greed, but not in the monetary sense.

I don't know what happened to the story but 3/4 of the way through another story finished the end of this drama. Very disappointing to not know the end.

Yes it did. Very annoying.
