Good story. I like a story where everyone gets what they deserve.

Roger

Poor old Chester. He thought that he had it made. An aged socialite with enough money to keep him happy forever as a wife, and a young starlet who made him feel young again. The moral of the story is you don't know what you got until its gone--or her rattlesnake scares you to death. Great story--4 stars.

Davy Joe

A self-proclaimed Lothario abandons his understanding of love in favour of money. He marries an older wealthy woman who is madly in love with him. He then meets a younger woman who steals his heart and he takes up with her in a covert love affair. While his wife is wrapped up in her philanthropic pursuits, primarily her new serpentorium (snake house – hahaha) and developing a ‘relationship’ with an enormous rattle snake, he is struggling to keep his young lover who is growing increasingly impatient and restless with being the ‘other woman’.He starts to wonder about a possible accident with his wife and the giant serpent.

Barbara

I loved this suspenseful story. I didn't expect the ending to turn out the way it did. Wonderful and entertaining!!!

A good story. I don't agree that everyone got what they deserved (only the main character did and, perhaps, his wife). I would think that even back then if you bought a snake for a "pet" that it would be required to remove the poison sacs before you got it, not after. Perhaps it wasn't (or still isn't) required.

Good story- I put this in the Deadly Romance category, with episodes like "Dreamers and Killers", "Tomorrow's Murder", "End of the Rainbow", "Room 418", "just to keep busy", "the Innocent Face", "Squaring the Triangle", " To whom it may Concern"...

If you want just a fun listen, here it is! You can't have it all, and should be happy with what you got! The man learns greed ain't good for ya! He got his just rewards!
