Under pressure from her mother, a young girl turns down a proposal from her boyfriend who is on leave from the Army. When he dies in a car crash, his ghost haunts her.

The ghost of an army private returns to haunt his fiancee after she declines his proposal and his subsequent death. His intentions are vague (ghosts have never been known for straightforward communication) and it could even be a result of an over-imaginative guilt complex she might have. A few listeners might think some details of the plot come across as too familiar, but who cares? Still a touching and heartwarming episode.
