This "Wine, Women and Murder" is a nice, mild episode about a book seller who is duped and is forced by his dire circumstances to become an amateur sleuth. Interestingly, I listened to this right after listening to another episode "Come Back Next Week" where someone was pressured by circumstances to become an amateur sleuth, in this case, a grieving widow. And this one after another widow turned sleuth in "The Ripple Effect". So if you like this mild genre, you'll enjoy these. And to listener ALEC, as I listen I have noticed many of your reviews, you seem to be listening in sequential order- may I ask what are your favorite episodes so far?

I loved this episode! A nice little mystery, nothing too dark but just complex enough to keep your interest. The characters were well drawn. Like a more light hearted episode of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents".

I got a kick out of Willi the cab driver. That interlude in the cab has me smiling whenever I recall it.
