A dancer turns up dead in her hotel room and an investigation begins into the motive for the murder. Her room mate suggests that she might have been using her feminine wiles to advance her career and may have taken her onto stages she was ill-prepared to dance upon.

A fairly good story and I wasn't able to guess who did it. Perhaps if I had been paying more attention I may have gotten it, but I doubt it. I did appreciate that it shows a little bit of the policemen's interests outside of the case, even while on the case.

The Slick And The Dead (Aired January 23, 1976) The CBS Radio Mystery Theater (or CBSRMT) was an ambitious and sustained attempt to revive the great drama of old-time radio in the 1970s

Aside from dreadful acting, the script was very convoluted. When the same actor plays different parts with very little difference in speaking I find many of these hard to follow. I wanted to like this one but found it quite dull.

Christine

I was wondering how a murderer would have left the room locking the door behind them. Which led my suspicion in that direction.

EG’s WHODUNIT! Good NYC State of Mind episode with like minded B actors. Who got Candy?

Scooter D & the Skittle greens

A little dull of a story. One of the detectives was a jerk for no apparent reason.

Dominic

I did guess the murderer correctly. The hokey dialogue was amusing. A nice change of pace for RMT.

Rachel

Surely this was a parody of 1940’s and 50’s noirs. The “that’s a dirty crack” line in act one is an all time classic.
