An eerily accurate case of science fiction become science fact here, with the only obvious differences being that the changes in our current society's human psyches have not been done in such a hands-on and in-your-face fashion (if I may be forgiven the mixing of metaphors here), rather, our psychic change has been engineered through stealth and misinformation (albeit these changes HAVE been wrought through mechanical means); and it hasn't taken nearly as long as this author supposed--not so unsurprisingly exactly what Huxley said in 1961 of his science "fiction" work, Brave New World, along with the observation that Orwell's 1984 was also at work. And THAT was half a century ago! So, although we LOVE our servitude to the common mind we also DETEST it with just as much fervor. Well, okay, so at least, anyone who has any small inkling of what is actually happening detests it, that is. The other 99% are blissfully ignorant of their uneasy cognitive dissonance, just as the protagonist in this story was, until it came to the forefront of his consciousness, and then he became violently, shockingly, opposed to it. Finally, as is so often the case in history, those who have done the most to aid and abet the takeover of a society's human psyche, they end up victims of the very same chopping block themselves. Check your history books, Friends, and try to accept that NO ONE has ever been and no one will ever be exempt from political exigency. Oops! Sorry about the diatribe posing as a comment there. Whew! I DO get going sometimes. But, in my own defense, I AM just sayin'.... (P.S. I just noticed that the first of the two "captcha"words below is ironically, "Jeffersonian." Hmmm... Okay, now I am REALLY creeped out: the word "Jeffersonian" just changed to a non-word! -.- )

Another excellent episode. Acting is good, dialogue is very good, and the plot is strong enough to keep you listening.

Great story, and very pertinent today with all the drug and dna research and experimenting going on!
