Except for E.G. Marshall's epilogue, the sound quality of this episode was quite poor. Regardless, I listened a couple of times. From what I was able to understand, there wasn't much of a redeeming quality to the main character even though he discontinued his self-destructive behavior. Perhaps another listener may have a better read on this episode.

I love CBSRMT, I have been listening, again, from the beginning, 1974. It seems like this year of 1978 has a lot of really bad quality recordings and some not exactly up to par story-lines. This is one that has bad quality recording and is not exactly up to the high standards that CBS Radio Mystery Theater has made for itself. I hope there is a Fred Gwynne episode somewhat soon, he always delivers
