Agreed. This melodramatic stuff is a notch below the CBSRMT's regular fare. A love story with flawed lovers. No supernatural elements.

A famous writer falls in love with a seductive actress with a taste for adventure. When she places a high stakes gamble, he loses faith in their relationship and loses her.
Jack C. Casey
Not sure why, but I can't stand Patricia Elliott's voice or mannerisms, especially her Diane character in this episode, who comes across as cold and haughty. The plot leaves a lot to be desired as well. Why should she get mad at him for being jealous when she never made it clear to him whether she had an affair or not? This relationship is doomed to fail, whether they get together at the end of this story or not.
