We got the Citizens VS the Police that provide the genre of Action in ACT-1, there's the genre of Romance between Marius & Collette in ACT-2, and the genre of Drama with Jean Valjean VS Inspector Javert. The beguiling music & escalating sound effects definitely make this story epic. This CBSRMT episode would've been excellent if Amanda Plummer & Lloyd Battista acted with accents when they played Collette & Marius. Alexander Scourby & Bernard Grant are always good in their roles. SPECIAL NOTE: Our host E.G. Marshall announces 5 actors in this, but forgets one more. Mr. Robert Kaliban who played Paul. And if you have the CBS RADIO MYSTERY guidebook, you will notice that it mentions Robert Kaliban in the cast, but not Amanda Plummer. Weird. But anyway, can't wait to hear the 5th & Final chapter.

Episodes 1-4 are pretty much average. Like Russ (mentioned above) I am looking forward to the ending in episode 5. This episode--a little more drama than the previous three--so 4 stars.
