James Agate Jr. can really put together a good script. Fred Gwynne is a great actor that has been overlooked because of his gift/curse relation with the TV series the Munsters. Russell Horton brings it all home with his ability to play hard on one's senses. Many times this fine actor can deliver a hart-felt performance like he did in Between two Mirrors. This particular version should be required hearing in middle-school history classes. A+

Does anyone know what the name of the episode that is previewed at the end of this episode? It sounded like it was about a man who has a wife who is a machine and threatens to short curcuit itself when it gets upset and nags him a lot. I checked to see the next episode # 1187 but that is not it.

Jason, that is A.L.I.C.E. episode 1221.

I suppose some people might believe "Fred Gwynne is a great actor that has been overlooked because of his gift/curse relation with the TV series the Munsters." But apparently they never listened to CBS Radio Mystery Theater.

I love Fred Gwynne, what a great talent. I wish the audio was much, much better. I listened just to hear Fred. Overall a decent episode, never knew much about John Brown
