While swimming in the ocean, a man encounters a woman who lives in an undersea kingdom and falls in love with her. She tries hard to live on land and he tries to live in the sea.

I can't stand Evie Jester's voice. It is very annoying. She is in a lot of the episodes .

While scuba diving off California’s Laguna Beach, playboy David Wells is trapped by a tentacle of an enormous squid. Only the quick action of a beautiful young woman with long, flowing blonde hair saves his life. She calls herself Alonay and David falls madly in love with her. Their relationship is doomed, however. Alonay must live in the ocean much of the time, and her father — half-man, half-fish — will not allow her to see David.

Fun episode, especially for me growing up in Laguna Beach.

I loved the "undersea" theme they used for this episode. I wish they had used this theme more often. I think they used it for another episode, but not often. Also, I wish they had done more undersea/mermaid stories in general.

Sounding a awefully like the precursor to the Mid - 1980's Rom - Comedy motion picture 'SPLASH'.
